Izzy's life is permanently changed when he is accidentally shot by a stray bullet in a shoot-out. When he recovers, he stumbles across a briefcase that contains a mysterious stone that leads him to a woman called Celia Burns (Mira Sorvino). Before long, the couple discover just how powerful the stone is, and how dangerous the people are who want it back.
