Roger Mason, aka 'The Spoiler', has been imprisoned in the Beta Galaxy for a crime he did not commit. After escaping from several prisons, only to be recaptured, he is incarcerated in 'The Icebox', a unit that keeps its inmates cryogenically frozen, whilst the world and their loved ones grow older around them.
