Bittersweet family portrait by French director Mia Hansen-Love. Gregoire Canvel (Louis-Do de Lencquesaing) is an independent film producer who balances the never-ending demands of his professional life with a full and happy private life, spending his weekends at his country house with his wife Sylvia (Chiara Caselli) and three young daughters. But as his company spirals towards bankruptcy, he loses his grip and, feeling utterly trapped, finds a tragic and irreversible way out of his unbearable situation. Sylvia is now left to hold her family together and maintain the artistic legacy that her husband worked so hard to carve out for himself.

Writer-director Mia Hansen-Love explores the aftermath of a tragedy in this haunting drama. Charismatic and charming film producer Gregoire (Louis-Do de Lencquesaing) is a workaholic who has helped to launch countless careers within the industry, always juggling multiple projects with the help of his small team of dedicated staff. However, the pressure of keeping so many balls in the air at once is gradually taking its toll, and the company's finances are dire. Without ever showing his distress to his wife (Chiara Caselli) or three children, Gregoire tries in vain to meet his responsibilities as a father and the bread winner of the household, until he is forced to take a shocking course of action that will tear the family apart.
