Synopsis

Documentary directed by Friedrich Moser about the surveillance program that could have prevented the 9/11 attacks. When a bomb went off in the basement of the World Trade Center in 1993, National Security Agency cryptologist Bill Binney began developing Thin Thread, a program that could lawfully gather data on American citizens to monitor suspected terrorists. As Binney worked to analyse the data gathered by the program, the funding was cut, just three weeks prior to the 9/11 attacks. Here, Binney speaks out with his belief that he could have stopped 9/11 before it happened.
