Set in 1958, young photographer Colin (Eddie O'Connell) falls in love with aspring model Crepe Suzette (Patsy Kensit), but her interests lie more in her budding career than in the affections of a man. When Crepe leaves town to pursue her dreams, Colin is taken under the wing of advertising executive Vendice Partners (David Bowie) who helps him realise that he can have his own career.
