Realistic drama set on the grim, low-lie streets of Seattle, about the relationship between newly-released convict Jack and his estranged fifteen-year old son Nick. Directed and developed by husband and wife team, Martin Bell and Mary Ellen Mark, who made the critically-acclaimed verite-documentary, 'Streetwise' about a group of kids living rough on the streets of Seattle. Jack is released from prison with dreams of escaping to Alaska. He immediatley faces pressure from his old pals to get involved in crime again and from his son Nick, who wants to live with him. Jack and Nick struggle to get along, Nick's mother is dead, but it is not long before the son starts following in his father's footsteps with a dangerous life of crime.
