Synopsis

Documentary tracing the highs and lows of the American space programme. Narrated by James Burke, the film charts the milestones in the development of NASA's series of moonshots, and in particular the ill-fated mission of Apollo 13, including interviews with astronauts James Lovell and Fred Haise, and flight director Gene Krantz.
