Sequel to the sassy, straight-talking hit comedy centred around a Chicago barbershop. Calvin (Ice Cube), having overcome his financial difficulties, is no longer in danger of losing his shop - but his neighbourhood is in danger of losing its identity. A huge, faceless corporation is moving into the community with the intention of setting up name-brand coffee bars, video stores - and a well-known hairdressing chain which they are planning to open right across the street from Calvin's shop. Calvin and his crew must take a stand to keep the South Side and its businesses in the family tradition. Meanwhile, it's business as usual at the barber shop: customers still get plenty of gossip, personal guidance, stories, jokes, discussions and political commentary included in the price of their haircut.
