Synopsis

The dramatic account of the mutiny aboard the titular vessel during the 1905 Revolution receives a welcome theatrical re-release. The silent film is perhaps best known for its Odessa Steps sequence in which Tsarist soldiers gun down civilians as a baby in a pram careens down the steps, an image of untainted innocence amongst the senseless bloodshed.
