Burning Beds Film Poster

Gina is German. It is common knowledge that German men love their cars more than the other sex. Gina is fighting on two fronts against this state of affairs. As an automobile inspector at the Technical Supervisory Authority, she lovingly takes advantage of her situation and satisfies her thirst for revenge against man and machine. In her private life, she commits herself with wholehearted abandon to the sexual revolution she missed out on in the past. Whatever Gina does, she does so with German thoroughness. “I’m British, my dear!” says Harry, meaning he is composed, discreet and reserved; characteristics that have always served him well in his job as a kettle drummer. But like everyone, Harry wants to shake the very foundations of the world – not just eardrums. He loves explosions. A mistimed firework display triggers a marital crisis and the shock wave sends him to Hamburg. Or, to be more exact, into the attic apartment of Gina, who would rather get rid of him right away. That is the beginning of a wonderfully hostile relationship, and one in which Harry, experienced in marital crises, and the relationship-terrorist Gina prove to be an equal match. –piafrankenberg.de
