Synopsis

Bill Canfield (Ernest Torrence) and his first mate (Tom Lewis) have been running the steamboat 'Stonewall Jackson' for years, but now look likely to be put out of business by the ruthless entrepreneur J.J. King. However, when Bill's student son (Buster Keaton) arrives to help out, it transpires that he is a college friend of Kitty - the entrepreneur's daughter! The ensuing hijinks include the famous cyclone sequence, complete with the celebrated scene in which Buster miraculously survives when the facade of a house collapses upon him. Also included is the 1921 short 'The Boat', in which Buster has a series of madcap adventures with a homemade boat.
