Controversial debut film from director Michael Winterbottom. Eunice (Amanda Plummer) is a psychopathic drifter who visits several service stations in search of her friend Judith (Katy Murphy). When she meets Miriam (Saskia Reeves), a service station attendant, Eunice seduces her but then leaves. Miriam is infatuated and decides to give chase. The pair end up journeying across the country, making love and killing various people on the way, including a truck driver, a service station assistant and a father and son.
