Originally proposed as early as August 1940, the Gloster Meteor was the first jet aircraft flown by the Allies during the Second World War and equipped the world's first operational jet squadron. This release follows the development of the Meteor from the drawing board through its service with the RAF to ejection-testing work with Martin-Baker today.
