Synopsis

DA Pennebaker's documentary following the Basildon band as they prepare for the final date of their Music for the Masses tour at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California in 1989. The film charts how their profile increased during the late 1980s, leading to them becoming one of the most popular alternative rock acts in the world, and also follows a group of young fans travelling across the USA by bus to attend the concert.
