Political documentary co-directed by Brian Liu and Mary Wareham, the founder of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL). The film examines the worldwide proliferation of anti-personnel mines despite a global ban, and features harrowing footage smuggled out of Burma, scenes from minefields in Iraq and Colombia and scenes shot by de-miners working in Afghanistan and Bosnia. It also looks beyond mines to investigate how weapons systems and the way in which war is waged are being redefined in the 21st century with devastating consequences.
