Documentary looking at the early career of cult filmmaker John Waters, the director of such favourites as 'Female Trouble', 'Polyester', and 'Hairspray'. Tracing the path that took him from childhood puppet shows to the release of his legendary 1972 underground classic 'Pink Flamingos', the film explores the origins of Waters' work, the product of one of the most original and unusual imaginations in US film history. Includes rare behind-the-scenes footage from the 'Flamingos' shoot and interviews with Waters and his regular collaborator Divine.
