Synopsis

Ian Gabriel directs and co-writes this South African crime thriller. Teenage chess prodigy Ricardo (Jezzriel Skei) has some tough decisions to make about his future when he is drawn into the violent culture of South Africa's Cape Flats, an area dominated by two rival gangs the 26 and 28s. Meanwhile, the father Ricardo never knew and former leader of the 28s, Farakhan (Brendon Daniels) is released from a 13-year sentence in Pollsmoor prison. All he wants is to settle his debts with the warring rivals who killed his father and reunite with his former lover Leila (Lindiwe Matshikiza) and his son. But the area's new and emerging gangs are reluctant to let him resolve his disputes.
