Triple-bill of gangster action. In 'Assault On Precinct 13' (1976), a mob of crazy guerilla gunmen lay siege to a soon-to-be-closed police station, trapping a single cop (Austin Stoker) and a couple of secretaries (Laurie Zimmer and Nancy Loomis) inside. The gunmen unleash wave upon wave of attacks on the beleaguered station, but the cop proves himself a resourceful foe. 'Romper Stomper' (1993) is a controversial drama about a group of Melbourne skinheads, lead by the Hitler-worshipping Hando (Russell Crowe), and their violent attacks on the city's immigrant population. When the group is joined by newcomer Gabe (Jacqueline McKenzie), her epilepsy threatens to disturb the skinheads' ideas of purity and leads to disputes which promise the eruption of yet more violence. At the same time, the gang's future is threatened when the Melbourne Vietnamese community, the target of so many of their hate crimes, begins to fight back. Finally, 'American Yakuza' (1993) follows the battle for control of America's crime underworld between the Mafia and the Yakuzas. Into this field steps FBI Agent Nick Davis (Viggo Mortensen), whose mission is to topple the Yakuza empire, at whatever cost.
