Triple bill of horror. In 'Ghost Ship' (2002), salvage operators Sean Murphy (Gabriel Byrne) and Maureen Epps (Julianna Margulies) think they might have struck the mother lode when they discover evidence of an abandoned cruise liner floating freely in the Bering Strait. They waste no time in tracking the ship down, and can't believe their luck when they discover numerous gold bars on board; however, they also recognise the need to work quickly as a rip in the ship's hull indicates that it might soon sink and be lost forever. Yet as the crew set to work and explore the ship further, they start to encounter ghostly phenomena and, one by one, the individual members begin turning up dead. In horror comedy 'Eight Legged Freaks', Chris McCormick (David Arquette) returns to his Arizona home town after ten years away. The last thing he expects to find is an infestation of giant spiders but, thanks to chemical spillage in the river, that is indeed what he finds. Teaming up with Sam Parker (Kari Wuhrer), a former girlfriend who is now the town sheriff, and her spider-expert son Mike (Scott Terra), Chris does what he can to fight the eight-legged threat and make sure all the local people are safe. However, when the spiders invade the mall, the townsfolk's only course of retreat is through a tunnel into some nearby mines - the very place where the giant female spider has made her lair... In 'Queen of the Damned' (2002), Stuart Townsend takes over Tom Cruise's 'Interview with a Vampire' role as the undead Lestat. Now a world-famous rock star, Lestat holds a press conference to announce his plans for a huge concert in Death Valley. Meanwhile, vampire researcher Jesse Reeves (Marguerite Moreau) begins looking into the rock star's background and grows concerned that he might be planning to reawaken Akasha (Aaliyah), the Queen of the Undead. However, when Jesse finally meets Lestat, she soon falls for his deadly charms - and asks if he can make her a vampire, too.
