Box set containing three popular thrillers. 'Hide and Seek' (2005) is about a newly widowed father who discovers his daughter is caught up in a web of evil. David Callaway (Robert De Niro) has been left to raise his nine-year-old daughter, Emily (Dakota Fanning), on his own after the death of his wife. David is at first amused to discover that Emily has created an imaginary friend named 'Charlie', but it isn't long before 'Charlie' develops a sinister and violent side, and as David struggles with his daughter's growing emotional problems, he comes to the frightening realisation that 'Charlie' isn't just a figment of Emily's imagination. 'Godsend' (2004) is a sci-fi thriller starring Greg Kinnear and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos as Paul and Jessie Duncan, a couple whose son Adam (Cameron Bright) is tragically killed in an accident on his eighth birthday. At his funeral they are approached by Dr Richard Wells (De Niro), founder of the Godsend Fertility Clinic, who tells the couple that he can use DNA from Adam's rapidly dying body to clone a replica of the boy. The process is in its experimental stages and is totally illegal, meaning the couple have to sever all bonds with family and friends and take part in a relocation programme. All goes well at first, but as time goes by the Duncans realise that the new Adam is different in some very sinister ways. Finally, 'In What Lies Beneath' (2000), Dr. Norman Spencer (Harrison Ford) becomes worried about his wife Claire (Michelle Pfeiffer) when she claims to have seen a young woman's ghost in their new lakeside home. He believes she is hallucinating, but Claire insists on the validity of her experience and tries to find out who the ghostly young woman is. So with the help of her best friend Jody (Diana Scarwid), Claire obtains a ouiji board and makes an attempt to contact the dead.
