Part of the documentary series examining unexplained phenomena around the world. This volume takes a look at the myths and legends surrounding the sinister figure of Count Dracula, Bram Stoker's fictional vampire, who may have had a real-life counterpart in the 15th century prince known as Vlad the Impaler. A ruthless military leader against the Turks during the wars against the Ottoman Empire, Vlad was infamous for his monstrous cruelty and sadism, and was rumoured to have impaled 20,000 captured Turks on spikes in the plains before his castle.
