Three classic film serials starring John Wayne. 'Hurricane Express' (1932) pits a very young Wayne against an unknown powerful individual who is out to sabotage a railroad. 'The Three Musketeers' (1933) is a loose adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' popular novel. Wayne stars as Tom, a fugitive framed for a murder he didn't commit. The man responsible is El Shaitan (Yakima Canutt), the leader of the Devil's Circle, a group plotting an Arab rebellion against the Foreign Legion. It's up to Tom's sweetheart Elaine (Ruth Hall) and the Three Musketeers, Clancy (Jack Mulhall), Renard (Raymond Hatton) and Schmidt (Ralph Bushman), to put an end to his reign of terror and clear Tom's name. Finally, 'Shadow of the Eagle' (1932) stars Wayne as Craig McCoy, a stunt pilot, who is part of a travelling fair. When a mysterious pilot known as 'The Eagle' starts making murderous threats with sky-writing, McCoy sets out to track down the villain.
