Triple bill of martial arts action. In 'Kiss of the Dragon' (2002), Jet Li stars as Liu Jian, a Chinese government agent who has been sent to France to assist in the arrest of a Chinese heroin smuggler. But when he arrives he is framed for murder by corrupt French police detective Jean-Pierre Richard (Tchéky Karyo) and forced to go on the run in a bid to prove his innocence. When he meets Jessica (Bridget Fonda), a prostitute whose daughter Isabel is being held captive by Richard, Liu offers to get Isabel back if Jessica will help expose Richard's corruption. Jessica agrees and much martial arts mayhem follows. 'Bulletproof Monk' (2003) is a special effects-laden martial arts action comedy starring Chow Yun-Fat as a mysterious, nameless monk who, sixty years earlier, was appointed the guardian of an ancient scroll that grants unlimited power to its possessor. After travelling across the world for more than half a century to protect the scroll, the monk is looking for someone new to take on the responsibility, and he is convinced that Kar (Seann William Scott), a self-absorbed street kid from San Francisco, is the man he's looking for. But as the monk begins to train Kar in the roles and responsibilities of being the new scrollkeeper, the pair find out they have a rival, who just happens to be a kung fu master - can they ever defeat him? 'Marked for Death' (1990) is an action thriller starring Steven Seagal. When his partner is killed by a ruthless drug overload, narcotics agent John Hatcher (Seagal) decides it is time to retire. But upon returning to his hometown he is horrified to find the people he knows and the place in which he grew up under the control of an evil drug boss called Screwface (Basil Wallace). Naturally, Hatcher isn't a man to take this lying down.
