Bollywood melodrama about a widowed farmer and his two very different sons. Dayal Singh (Jackie Shroff) is a traditionalist farmer who brings up his two sons alone. Aman (Arbaaz Khan) studies hard, becomes a lawyer and moves to the city while Jigar (Sohail Khan), who's only interested in farming, stays by his father's side. The farm comes under threat when Sohan Seth (Dalip Tahil), a cunning and ruthless businessman, tries to take over the land for commercial interests, convincing other farmers to sell by using violence. Subsequently the village is thrown into turmoil. As the drama unfolds, conflict arises between the two sons whose idea of the value of land differs drastically.
