Paolo is a divorcee, struggling to make ends meet. By day he collects the kids, fends off alimony demands and sees his beloved dog Giovanni. By night he's a cabaret pianist in a local bar. This seems to be Paolo's lot in life, until, of all the bars in the world, Francesca walks into his. An unlikely couple, the voluptuous Venus and the pot-bellied pianist soon find common ground, mostly to do with Francesca's ability to keep Paolo permanently aroused. They embark on an obsessive affair but Paolo's passion soon darkens until it threatens to consume them both.
