Synopsis

Robert Guédiguian's tale of disparate lives interweaving in present day Marseilles. Michèle, struggling with a drug-addict daughter, considers turning to prostitution in order to raise money; former-docker Paul tries his best to establish his taxi business, but risks losing his licence when he is discovered to be cheating on fares; and café-owner Gerard's life of drug dealing and murder is threatening to spiral out of control. The film features many of Guédiguian's regular actors, including Ariane Ascaride, Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Gérard Meylan as Michèle, Paul and Gerard.
