With the living dead having now taken over much of the world, the few survivors left have retreated to a fortified city, where the rich live in penthouse apartments while the poor suffer on the streets below. Governed by the corrupt Kaufman (Dennis Hopper), the city comes under threat when the impoverished population begin to demand a change in leadership and it becomes obvious that the army of zombies outside the city walls is beginning to adapt to its surroundings. 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2004) is the noughties re-make of Tobe Hooper's 1974 classsic horror film, based on the Wisconsin murderer Ed Gein. Whilst on a road-trip through Texas, a group of teenagers pick up a hitchhiker on her way to score some dope in Mexico. The kids decide to go with her but on their way through a small town in Travis County they come across another girl covered in blood and traumatised. The teenagers soon find themselves inadvertedly involved with a family of murderous cannibals and chased by Leatherface, a chainsaw wielding madman.
