Tense, psychological horror from director Pieter Van Hees. Finding refuge from the strains of modern life in running, emotionally fragile Marie (Eline Kuppens) is sidelined when she catches an infection. Her discomfort, however, is eased by the appearance in her life of new boyfriend Bobby (Matthias Schoenaerts), who from the outset seems to be the person that she's been searching for to bring the light back into her life. Things soon take a turn for the worse, however, when Bobby invites her to move into his flat on a run-down and oppressive housing estate called the 'Left Bank'. Discovering one of the previous tenants mysteriously vanished, Marie's rising paranoia, coupled with increasing doubts about Bobby, soon lead her into dangerous territory.
