Hitchcockian thriller about a generations-old blood feud between rival villages. French expatriate Nikolai (Pascal Bongard) takes a job working as a translator for three French friends travelling through Georgia to reach a castle that one of them has inherited. On the shaky bus journey through the countryside, they encounter an old man and a youth, carrying a coffin. Both are on their way to the village of their enemies, where the old man will be killed as part of an ancient blood feud requiring a death in the population of one village to be matched by a death in the rival village. Into this scenario drift the 'tourists', trampling on the sensitivities of the locals as they try to right a perceived wrong.
