Drama co-written and directed by Ira Sachs. Following the death of his grandfather, Jake Jardine (Theo Taplitz) moves into his vacant Brooklyn apartment with his parents Kathy (Jennifer Ehle) and Brian (Greg Kinnear). The family also inherit the small shop underneath which has been leased out to immigrant seamstress Leonor Calvelli (Paulina García) at a cut-price fee for several years. Jake quickly forms a strong bond with Leonor's son Tony (Michael Barbieri), and the pair become inseparable. However, with the shop costing more money than it's bringing in, Jake's father attempts to raise the rent, sparking a bitter financial argument between the two families. As the disagreement continues to escalate, Jake and Tony refuse to let their parent's problems affect their growing friendship.
