Synopsis

Collection of low-budget British films. In 'London Entertains' (1951), Eamonn Andrews takes a tour around London and visits Battersea Festival, a BBC studio and the Windmill Theatre. Along the way he meets some of Britain's most popular post-war radio personalities including Spike Milligan, Michael Bentine, Harry Secombe and Peter Sellers from 'The Goon Show'. Jack Jackson presents the musical and variety show 'Climb Up the Wall' (1960), featuring performers such as George 'Calypso' Browne, Russ Conway and Frances Day. The comedy documentary 'Calling All Cars' (1954) focuses on four characters: Reggie (Cardew Robinson), Beryl (Adrienne Scott), Tom (John Fitzgerald) and Marjorie (Pauline Olsen) and centres around the Dover Harbour car terminal.
