Triple bill of fun and adventures for children of all ages. 'Madeline', based on the stories by Ludwig Bemelmans, stars Hatty Jones as Madeline, the most mischievous of the twelve friends who live at a Parisian school run by Miss Clavel (Frances McDormand). Her sunny existence is threatened by starchy old Lord Covington (Nigel Hawthorne), who is on a campaign to have the school closed down. It is up to Madeline and her friends, who include the equally precocious Pepito and a dog who saved her from drowning, to stop him. In 'Care Bears: The Movie 2', the loving, hugging creatures return for more adventures in the Kingdom of Caring. A little girl is tricked into trapping the bears by the nasty Dark Heart, who is bent on creating divisions among the happy campers by introducing them to concepts such as selfishness and jealousy. Up on the Great Wishing Star in the sky, True Heart Bear and Noble Heart Horse take it upon themselves to head into the camp and defeat Dark Heart and his negative influence. In 'The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland', Sesame Street star Elmo begins his first movie adventure by selfishly refusing to share his beloved blue blanket with Zoe. This leads to a tug-of-war which sends the blanket flying off to a faraway place. When Elmo gathers up the courage to go and rescue the blanket, he soon finds himself in Grouchland, a place where everybody and everything is moody and selfish. The Sesame Street characters joining Elmo in this adventure include Bert and Ernie, Big Bird, and - of course - Oscar the Grouch.
