Review of Manchester City's topsy-turvy 2007/08 campaign. The season saw the arrival of former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson at the club and the Swede spent big to bring in a number of talented players, such as Elano, Petrov and Benjani, as City made a push for Europe. Highlights during the season included ten consecutive home victories and a magnificent double over bitter rivals Manchester United. City finished the season with their highest ever Premier League points tally.
