Action starring Richard Conte and filmed on location at Goodwood in 1954. On leaving the Air Force, driver Peter Wells (Conte) rejoins the Italian Corsi team. But Wells is dogged by bad luck and his wife, Pat (Mari Aldon), begs him to retire. Wells' team manager (Peter Illing) and fellow driver Dallapiccola (George Coulouris) fear their old friend has lost his nerve. Wells wife leaves him but he is still determined to race in the Piemonte Grand Prix. Behind the wheel of a potentially lethal car, Wells has everything to prove and nothing left to lose.
