Triple-bill of Adam Sandler comedies. In 'Mr Deeds' (2002), Adam Sandler plays smalltown poet and pizzeria owner, Longfellow Deeds, who inherits $40 billion from his uncle and sets off for New York to take over his new business empire, bringing his smalltown values with him. Television reporter Babe Bennett (Winona Ryder) poses as an innocent smalltown girl in order to dig up any dirt on him, but, despite her best efforts, finds him to be nothing other than a gentleman, and even falls for him. In 'Big Daddy' (1999), Sonny Koufax (Sandler) is a thirty-two-year-old loser who refuses to take responsibility for his life and spends his days watching television in his pyjamas. The day after his girlfriend Vanessa (Kristy Swanson) dumps him, five-year-old Julian arrives at his house, claiming to be the son of his recently departed flatmate. Sonny then mistakenly decides that adopting Julian will impress Vanessa, only to discover that there is more to parenting than meets the eye. Finally, in 'Anger Management' (2003), Dave Buznick (Sandler) is ordered to undergo a course of anger management therapy after he is accused of air rage. The course is run by Dr Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson) who brings together a disparate group of people for his sessions; from bi-sexual porn stars through to an ex-con. However, Buddy has his own issues and these come to light when he insists on moving in with Dave for spell of intensive therapy; both Dave and Buddy manage to bring out the worst in each other and under the same roof means there are alot of sparks flying.
