Collection of three American film comedies. In 'Mr Woodcock' (2007), Jon Farley (Seann William Scott), a self-help author, returns to his hometown to discover that his mother (Susan Sarandon) has fallen in love with his old high school nemesis, Mr Woodcock (Billy Bob Thornton), the gruff, no-nonsense gym teacher who put him through years of mental and physical humiliation. Determined to prevent history from repeating itself, John sets out to stop his mother from marrying the man who made life miserable for him and his classmates. In 'Elf' (2003), Will Ferrell stars as Buddy, a human being who has spent his whole life believing himself to be an elf. Brought up by Santa (Edward Asner) and his elves at the North Pole, Buddy has spent the last 30 years happily working in Santa's toy workshop. But when his ungainly size starts to become a liability in the elf-sized working environment, Santa suggests that Buddy head to New York City to find his biological father (James Caan). Needless to say, the unlikely spectacle of a 6'5'' man dressed from head to foot in bright green stands out a mile on the streets of the Big Apple, and the good-natured Buddy finds himself in all sorts of scrapes as he gets used to his new family and surroundings - and they get used to him. In 'Dumb and Dumber' (1994), Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) are a pair of hapless losers on the road, attempting to find the beautiful owner of a mislaid briefcase. Unbeknownst to them, the case contains ransom money for the woman's husband, and they find themselves pursued by his thuggish kidnappers, whilst stumbling across a series of oddballs along the way.
