Musical comedy starring George Formby. John Willie (Formby), a workshy young lad, has been on the dole for four years as he can't find a job in his chosen trade - selling leap year calendars. It's a shock to his system when the people at the Dole Office decide that enough's enough, and stop his allowance. This was Formby's second big screen outing, and features his real life wife Beryl as his co-star. The film includes the songs, 'Little Ukulele' and 'I'm Going to Stick to My Mother'.
