Synopsis

Dominic Lees directs this drama-thriller about two Polish brothers trying to forge new lives for themselves in London. Adam (Jakub Tolak) leaves Poland in search of his older brother Jan (Przemyslaw Sadowski), who appears to have found a promised land of opportunity and success. What Adam doesn't realise is that his brother is making his money by supplying illegal foreign labour to building sites - and will stop at nothing to protect his wealth and position. At first, Adam is drawn into Jan's glamorous lifestyle, but soon finds himself dragged down by the corruption and exploitation on which it depends. The relationship between the two brothers descends - with tragic consequences - into a tangle of betrayal and counter-betrayal.
