Attractive authoress Lucy has had writer's block ever since she left Paris years ago where she had a lover, Minter, who inspired her writing until his death. Since moving to Canada, her sex life with her publisher husband, Michael, has become a little staid. Lucy encourages the attentions of a bisexual boxing poet called Sloan to spice up her life and relieve her mental block, but while a whole new, dangerous world of sex opens up for her, her husband is slowly going mad.
