Box set containing three tense thrillers. In 'Poltergeist 2' (1986), having escaped unscathed from their previous encounter with a poltergeist, the Freeling family are now recuperating with Grandma Jess. She recognises a fellow clairvoyant in little Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke), but when the old woman dies, the spirits descend once more to claim the girl for their side. Diminutive medium Tangina and an all knowing Red Indian are enlisted to stop her from being sucked in by the TV. In 'Poltergeist 3' (1988), Carol Anne (O'Rourke) has been sent to a special school for gifted but emotionally disturbed children whilst living with her aunt and uncle. The Preacher of Pain is still trying to lure her to the other side, so diminutive medium Tangina stands guard to protect her. In 'Stigmata' (1999), when it comes to God, Pittsburgh hairdresser Frankie Paige (Patricia Arquette) is a firm non-believer. However, after receiving a gift of some rosary beads, Frankie begins suffering from stigmata - bleeding wounds on her hands correlating with those suffered by Christ on the cross. Father Andrew Kiernan (Gabriel Byrne) is sent to investigate by the Vatican, and although initially dismissive, gradually begins to realize that Frankie is carrying an important message for mankind. However, Kiernan's corrupt superior, Cardinal Houseman (Jonathan Pryce), wants Frankie's message stopped, and is prepared to resort to murder to achieve his aims.
