Three short documentaries looking at different types of military units. 'Jungle Warriors' examines the use of Allied secial forces in the Burma campiagn and in China during World War Two, from Orde Wingate's Chindit forces, to Merrill's Marauders. 'Knights of the Sky' looks at the often romanticised role of the fighter pilot, from the aces of World War One, to the heroes of the Battle of Britain and the modern 'top guns' of the present day. Finally, 'The Dogs of War' looks at the murky history of the professional mercenary, men who fight for money on whichever side can pay them the most. The documentary looks at the influence of mercenaries in modern day Africa, and also traces the history of the French Foreign Legion.
