Suzanne von Borsody and Iain Glen star in this drama based on the novel by Robin Pilcher. When a tragic death disrupts the life of an aristocratic Scottish family, relationships begin to break down and life-changing accusations are made. Lady Elizabeth Dewhurst (von Borsody) believes that her husband Gregor (Glen) is responsible for the death of her brother Simon (William Mickleburgh) and the stress of the situation begins to drive them apart. As Elizabeth's friend Mary (Rachel Fielding), who has been attracted to Gregor for many years, decides to make her move, Elizabeth also seeks solace in the arms of another man. Can their relationship survive the mutual dalliances or is the Dewhurst estate destined for division?
