Synopsis

Re-issue of Chris Marker's 1982 visual poem, questioning notions of life and death, spirituality and politics. At the film's centre is a man, living through various time periods in such varied locations as Iceland, Japan and West Africa. Narration, digital effects and hallucinogenic imagery bring the myriad ideas to life, creating a shimmering audio-visual collage of life in the early 1980s, warts and all.
