Mystery thriller in which a radio talk show host and a US government official investigate a bizarre series of deaths. Though Charlie Crowe (Dallas Roberts)'s career has seen better days, he hasn't lost his nose for a story. When he hears about a phenomenon doctors are calling 'Sudden Unexplained Nocturnal Death Syndrome', where patients die in their sleep soon after reporting visions of shadowy intruders in their dreams, he is intrigued and makes further enquiries. The trail seems to lead back to an experimental sleep study in the 1970s and, as his investigation intensifies, Charlie ropes in Sophie Lacombe (Alison Eastwood) for assistance. Though sceptical at first, Sophie is gradually convinced of Charlie's case by the evidence they uncover. But will they be able to put a stop to the deaths?
