Synopsis

By the beginning of the 20th Century, Walter Sickert had become one of Britain's most famous artists. But after his death in 1942, he drifted into obscurity. To this day, he remains one of the undiscovered heroes of modern art. This documentary looks at the life and work of the eccentric artist, and features music by Jools Holland and writings read by Alan Bennett.
