A Julia Roberts triple bill. In 'Something to Talk About' Roberts stars as Grace, a woman with a successful career, a beautiful daughter and a happy marriage to her college sweetheart. Overall she thinks that she has the perfect life. That is until she spots her husband enjoying a passionate kiss with another woman and her idyllic existence takes on a whole new outlook. Faced with a fact that she does not want to confront, and the small town mentality that she is part of, she must rock the boat and take the chance to get even. 'The Pelican Brief' is an adaption of a John Grisham best seller. Roberts plays sharp-witted law student Darby Shaw, who finds herself the target for murder when her thesis determining why two US justices were killed falls into the wrong hands. Supported by Washington based journalist Gray Grantham (Denzel Washington), she seeks to find out who is behind the threats against her life, and bring them to justice. Whilst in 'Conspiracy Theory' taxi driver Jerry (Mel Gibson) is traumatized by a past he cannot remember, and spends all his spare time assembling information on conspiracies. He takes his 'evidence' to attorney Alice Sutton (Roberts), who is investigating a conspiracy theory of her own relating to the murder of her father. When Jerry is abducted by psychiatrist Dr Jonas (Patrick Stewart), he escapes, but soon both he and Alice are on the run for their lives, their fates somehow inextricably connected.
