Triple-bill of military documentaries, looking at elite units in modern military history. 'Special Forces' examines the shadowy role of elite units like the SAS and the Green Berets, who take part in dangerous, secretive missions that are rarely, if ever, reported. 'Snipers' looks at the development of sniping by the different forces in the Second World War, looking at different weapons and techniques, as well as exploring the psychology of the sniper. 'Elite Forces' looks at the development of the parachute units used by both the Allied and German sides during the war. After daring German successes, such as the capture of Crete in 1941 by an all-airborne force, the Allies trained their own parachute regiments, responsible for heroic actions such as Arnhem, Bastogne and the D-Day assault.
