Synopsis

A 1989 documentary about the late jazz musician Steve Lacy (he died in 2004) containing live footage with his band, filmed in 1983, and interviews conducted by film maker Peter Bull. Lacy talks about his career, his fellow musicians and the artists he admired most, including Sidney Bechet, Gil Evans, Thelonious Monk, Cecil Taylor and John Coltrane. Songs include: 'Evidence', 'Prospectus' and 'Gay Paree Bop'.
