Mark Frost's (co-director of 'Twin Peaks') political thriller is about a young lawyer, Cray Fowler, who is running for the post of governor but gets caught up in a murder case, after a one-night stand with a beautiful nut mysterious Joanne Whalley-Kilmer, which forces him to resume his legal career in order to prove his innocence. Cray's father had committed suicide after becoming embroiled in a similar scandal, and his son is scared that he might go the same way.
