Synopsis

Filmed in January 2008 at the Royal Opera House in London, this performance by The Royal Ballet brings to life the characters created by Beatrix Potter through the choreography of Frederick Ashton and the music of English composer John Lanchbery. Dressed and masked just like the illustrations, the cast performs a one-act ballet comprising six lively extracts: The Tale Of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle, The Tale Of Jemima Puddle-Duck, The Tale Of Pigling Bland, The Tale Of Jeremy Fisher, The Tale Of Squirrel Nutkin and The Tale Of Two Bad Mice.
